Learn SolidWorks Module 4 consists of over 120 A4 pages teaches a number of new skills in SolidWorks as well as building on previous skills. The Cantilever Chair and the CD Rack involve modelling in 3D in the true sense of the word. Here we use 3D sketching and move from one plane to another seamlessly. This is an important skill in SolidWorks and improves efficiencies as well as opening up new possibilities for modelling. The Saucepan Stand uses two new skills in its modelling, namely the use of the Curve Through Reference Points tool and the use of the Derived Sketch tool.
The Shoe Horn and the Ladle are built using Surface Geometry and involve Surface Lofts, the use of the Thickening tool and Surface Knitting among numerous other techniques. The Corkscrew and the Citrus Juicer bring Lofting to another level where the use of the Centerline Parameter is used to direct the loft along with Guide Curves.
Once again PhotoView360 is used to effect and expert instruction is given in preparing the model for rendering re lighting, shadows, perspective, render scenes etc.
